Hoagie Fundraiser

Back by popular demand and just in time for March Madness, MSPS hoagies!! Spring sales will run from February 13 through February 26. Watch for bulletin inserts or call Katie at the preschool (842-2193) to order.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT

On Friday, March 2 Montgomery Street Preschool will be having their annual family fun night. The event this year will again be open to the church and community family. The evening will begin with a light meal from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. in West Fellowship Hall. The MSPS students will have artwork on display and there will be some activities for kids to participate in. At 7:00 p.m. we will move the evening upstairs to the sanctuary where Jim Austin will perform a fun filled, interactive show for children of all ages. We hope everyone will be able to join us for this fun evening!

MSPS HOAGIE SALES

The annual MSPS Hoagie Sale will be kicking off the weekend of October 8th and 9th. The MSPS students will be coming to church to sing on Sunday, October 9th at both the 8:30 and 10:45 services to kick off the sale. The hoagies are a wonderful combination of turkey, ham, roast beef, and cheese on a hoagie bun for just $3.50 per sandwich. If you would like to place an order see the order form in the LINK or stop by the preschool. All orders are due by October 20th. Hoagies will be made on Wednesday, October 26th and can be picked up in West Fellowship Hall after 6:00 p.m.

FAMILY FUN FAIR AT AULD PARK

Come and enjoy a family friendly morning at Auld Park! On Saturday, July 7 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. FUMC and Montgomery Street Preschool will be participating in the Family Fun Fair at Auld Park with games and activities. A free lunch will be served at Noon and there will be plenty of fun and engaging activities for kids of all ages. Volunteers are needed for the FUMC booth. If you would like to sign up for an hour time slot, please contact the church office.

MONTGOMERY STREET PRESCHOOL NEWS

The preschool is looking for an assistant teacher to help in the Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds) room. If you or someone you know would be interested, call Katie at the preschool (842-2193) for an application. Applications will be due by July 10th.

MSPS still has a few openings available for fall 2011. Classes are available for two through five year olds. Spaces are going quickly so contact the preschool today if you would like more information or to enroll, 842-2193 or mspschool@hotmail.com. If you have questions call the preschool at 842-2193.

We had over 100 students, family members and friends for the meal and fellowship.

There were lots of laughs and lots of fun with the magic show with Jim Austin, the comedian with his magicial tricks.

Believe it or not it is time to start thinking about enrolling for next school year! MSPS enrollment for the 2011/2012 school year will kick off on March 1st. Family Fun Night

All of this for a Free Will Donation! MSPS student artwork will be on display and there will be a goodie basket fundraiser. All proceeds go toward Montgomery Street Preschool. Open House

Come join the Montgomery Street Preschool staff at an open house on Thursday, March 25 from 5 to 7 pm. Prospective students can meet their teachers and see the classrooms. Parents can enroll their children in classes for the 2010/2011 school year. We hope to see you on the 25th!

Thrilling Threes: 3 year olds - 2 sessions, 2 days each: M-W mornings 8:30 to 11:00 & T-Th mornings 8:30 to 11:00

Fabulous Fours: 4 & 5 year olds - 1 session, 2 days each: T-Th afternoons 12:30 to 3:00

Kinder Explorers: 4 & 5 year olds - 2 sessions, 3 days each: M-T-Th mornings 8:30 to 11:00 & M-T-Th afternoons 12:30 to 3:00

Montgomery Street Preschool Fundraiser

The final fundraiser of the 2009-2010 school year is underway! All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward purchasing new classroom toys. Everything from soup mixes and magazines to candles and flower bulbs are available. Stop by the church office to see the brochure and place your order or contact the preschool. The brochure can also be viewed and orders placed by going to www.nonprofitservices.info/mont. Orders will be taken through Wednesday, February 24th. Thanks for your support!!

You Can Help

In order to keep costs down, we purchase our food for snacks from the Food Bank of Iowa. The food lists are mailed out twice a month. This is a great way for us to purchase food at very low cost, but unfortunately there is a very limited selection. If you would like to help supplement our snack cupboards, we would love to have basic snacks like pretzels, cereal, crackers, cookies, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc. Just send them to preschool and we will use them! Our largest expenses are 5 oz. Dixie cups and 100 percent juice. If you would like to donate these items they would be greatly appreciated!

With the cold season upon us, Kleenexes are in great demand. It would be wonderful to have a never ending supply of these. Drop some by if you feel the urge!

With your help, we will try to keep tuition as low as possible. Thank you for your generosity.
